Top Health Policy Strategist Cartier Esham Joins Williams & Jensen as Senior Advisor

Washington, D.C. — June 8, 2026 — Williams & Jensen, one of Washington’s most prominent bipartisan law and lobbying firms, today announced that Dr. Cartier Esham has joined the firm as a Senior Advisor. 

Dr. Esham is a nationally recognized leader in health policy and scientific advocacy and brings more than two decades of experience at the intersection of science, policy, leadership, and government affairs to the firm.

Dr. Esham is the Founder and CEO of Esham Strategies, a Washington-based strategic consultancy focused on cultivating expert leadership, challenging conventional approaches, and driving cutting-edge health policy solutions. She also currently serves as Executive Director of the Alliance for a Stronger FDA.

Prior to launching her consultancy, Dr. Esham held multiple senior leadership roles at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), where she ultimately served as Chief Scientific Officer. Throughout her career, Esham worked closely with Congress, federal agencies, and industry stakeholders on a range of issues, including drug development, clinical trials, and regulatory policy. Dr. Esham is widely recognized for her ability to bridge scientific expertise with practical policy solutions.

Esham holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Georgia, a Master of Science in Marine Biology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Kentucky.
