This Week in Congress

 

Senate: The Senate confirmed Chris Wright as Secretary of Energy, Doug Collins as Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Pam Bondi as Attorney General, Scott Turner as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, and Russ Vought as Director of the Office of Management and Budget. 

 

House: The House passed the Halt All Lethal Trafficking of Fentanyl Act (H.R.27). 

 

 

Next Week in Congress

 

Senate: The Senate will reconvene on Monday, February 10 and is expected to continue processing nominations including Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services, Howard Lutnick as Secretary of Commerce, Brooke Rollins as Secretary of Agriculture, and Kelly Loeffler as Administrator of the Small Business Administration. 

 

House: The House will reconvene on Monday, February 10 and is expected to consider the Midnight Rules Relief Act (H.R.77) and the Agent Raul Gonzalez Officer Safety Act (H.R.35).
