Senate: The Senate continued processing nominations and passed the NIL college sports bill.  

 

House: The House was in recess.

Trump Administration:  On September 29, President Trump signed an Executive order titled “Streamlining Access to Government Services Through America.gov.” The Order launches America.gov, which aims to serve as a unified, secure digital gateway where people can access information, get answers, and complete federal services without navigating multiple agency websites.

 

Next week in Washington 

 

Senate: The Senate will reconvene Monday, November 9. They are expected to begin consideration of the permitting bill titled the Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act of 2026 (S.5653).

 

House: The House is in recess and will reconvene Monday, November 9.
