Senate: The Senate continued processing nominations including Assistant Secretary of Defense, Deputy Secretary of Commerce, and Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Tax. They are expected to consider the War Power Resolution (S.J.Res.59) Friday evening and also expected to continue work on the reconciliation bill into the weekend.

 

House: The House passed the Special Interest Alien Reporting Act (H.R.275), the Jeremy and Angel Seay and Sergeant Brandon Mendoza Protect Our Coummunities from DUIs Act (H.R.875), the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2026 (H.R.3944), and the Condemning the violent June 2025 riots in Los Angeles, California (H.Res.516).   

 

Trump Administration: On June 20, President Trump signed S.J.Res.13 and S.J.Res.31 into law. S.J.Res.13 rescinds the Department of Treasury rule revising procedures for reviewing applications for proposed bank mergers and S.J.Res.31 rescinds the Environmental Protection Agency  (EPA) rule that allows a “major source” of hazardous air pollutants to reclassify as an “area source” after acting to limit emissions.

Senate:  The Senate is scheduled to be in recess but could remain in session until they pass the reconciliation bill. They are scheduled to reconvene on Monday, July 7.

 

House: The House is scheduled to be in recess but could remain in or return to session until they pass the Senate passed reconciliation bill. They are scheduled to reconvene on Monday, July 7.
