Laura M. Simmons

Laura started at Williams & Jensen in 2012 as a part of the legislative staff and was a Senior Director of Government Relations prior to becoming the Chief of Staff in 2023.  Laura represents clients before policymakers and third-party stakeholders, and industry groups on a variety of domestic policy issues, and advises clients on policy, political messaging, and public affairs campaigns and assists with the research, development, and implementation of legislative strategies. She is particularly adept at reframing complex policy issues into high impact talking points, memos, and whitepapers for audiences both on and off the Hill. Laura also works with Williams & Jensen’s – affiliated partner organization that pairs grassroots and grasstops campaigns with legislative strategy and manages advocacy campaigns across the country.

Laura previously worked as a Finance Director at the Republican State Leadership Committee during the 2012 election cycle. She earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of South Carolina.
