Christopher E. Wilcox
PRINCIPAL
Chris Wilcox joined Williams & Jensen in 2018 after more than a dozen years in Congress and state government. Chris began his career as an aide to Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan (D-NY) and later served as Legislative Counsel and staff to Rep. Michael Arcuri (D-NY), a member of the House Rules Committee, and as Legislative Director and Counsel to Rep. Val Demings (D-FL), then a member of the House Judiciary and Homeland Security Committees.
Between tours working in Congress, Chris served 5 years as a senior advisor to Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY), as well as the principal liaison between state agencies, their federal counterparts and Congressional staff on matters relating to Native American affairs, national security, cybersecurity, labor and Superstorm Sandy disaster recovery programs.Â
As a principal at W&J, Chris specializes in representing companies that cut and sew custom suits and dress shirts in the USA, as well as other companies within the trade-sensitive domestic tailored clothing supply chain. He also assists clients in the healthcare, telecommunications, financial services, technology and cybersecurity industries in developing strategies to achieve federal policy objectives through the annual defense authorization and congressional appropriations processes. Â
Chris remains closely involved in Democratic political campaigns, and currently assists and advises a number of Congressional reelection campaigns. As a Principal at Williams & Jensen, Chris assists clients across a number of industries achieve their policy objectives and maintain relationships with members and staff to House and Senate Leadership, the Blue Dog Coalition, the New Democrat Coalition, the Congressional Black Caucus, and the National Governor’s Association. He is a member of the bar of New York, Massachusetts and the District of Columbia.
