This Week In Washington


Senate - The Senate was in recess. 

 

House - The House was in recess. 

Biden Administration - President Biden extended Executive Order 14032: "National Emergency With Respect to the Threat From Securities Investments That Finance Certain Companies of the People’s Republic of China" for one year with respect to the threat from securities investments that finance certain companies of the PRC. 

 

Next Week in Washington

 

Senate - The Senate will hold a vote on Tuesday, November 12th for a judicial nomination and may consider additional nominations. Senate Republicans will hold their leadership elections on November 13th. 

 

House - The Committee on Rules will meet on November 12th to consider bills related to energy (H.R. 7409), critical minerals (H.R. 8446), and one bill related to FAFSA (H.R. 8932). Republican leadership elections are scheduled for November 13th with Democrat Leadership elections scheduled for November 19th and 20th.
