Senate: The Senate was in recess.

 

House: The House was in recess

 

Trump Administration:  On September 16, President Trump signed an Executive Order entitled, “Saving TikTok While Protecting National Security.” The Order approves the divestment of TikTok which will now be operated by a new U.S. joint-venture company.

 

Next week in Washington 

 

Senate: The Senate will reconvene on Monday, September 29 and is expected to continue processing nominations including Ambassador to the United Nations. They are also expected to continue consideration of a Continuing Resolution to avoid a government shutdown and keep government operations open. The deadline is September 30 at 11:59 PM EST.

 

House: The House is scheduled to be in recess.
