This week in Washington 

 

Senate: The Senate continued processing nominations. They began consideration of a revised version of the Housing for the 21st Century Act (H.R.6644) following a bicameral agreement reached with the House.

 

House: The House was in recess.

 

Trump Administration:  On June 12, President Trump signed a memorandum of understanding with the Islamic Republic of Iran, putting the 60-day ceasefire into effect to negotiate a longer-term deal on Iran's nuclear activities, sanctions, and regional security issues. 

Next week in Washington 

 

Senate: The Senate will reconvene Monday, June 22, and is expected to continue processing nominations and consideration of the Housing for the 21st Century Act. 

 

House: The House is in session and will reconvene Tuesday, June 23.
