Senate: The Senate passed the Housing for the 21st Century Act (H.R.6644) and continued processing nominations. They failed to pass the Department of Homeland Security government funding bill.

 

House: The House was in recess.

 

Trump Administration:  On March 11, President Trump signed a memorandum entitled Promoting Fiscal Responsibility in Compensation Practices at the Tennessee Valley Authority .The memorandum instructs the Tennessee Valley Authority Board to limit compensation for all employees including the CEO. 

 

Next week in Washington 

 

Senate: The Senate will reconvene Monday, March 16 and is expected to continue processing nominations. They could also consider the Department of Homeland Security government funding bill. 

 

House: The House will reconvene Monday, March 16 and is expected to consider the Deporting Fraudsters Act (H.R.1958), the BOWOW Act (H.R.4638), and the Protecting Access for Hunters and Anglers Act (H.R.556).
