Joel G. Oswald

PRINCIPAL

Joel Oswald is a Principal at Williams & Jensen, where he advises clients on legislative and regulatory matters with a focus on financial services policy. With more than two decades of experience spanning both the public and private sectors, Joel helps clients navigate the increasingly complex intersection of Congress, federal regulators, and the financial marketplace. His practice covers a broad range of issues, including equity trading, asset management, securities, banking, consumer finance, fintech, and insurance policy. Drawing on his experience on Capitol Hill and in the private sector, he works closely with organizations to anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and effectively engage policymakers and regulators.

Before joining Williams & Jensen, Joel served on the professional staff of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, where he worked for both the Subcommittee on International Trade and Finance and the Subcommittee on Securities and Investment.

Joel is a graduate of Evangel University and earned his MBA from Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School. Outside of his work at the firm, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Shauna, and their three children. He is active in his church community and enjoys reading, exploring regenerative farming practices, smoking meats, and spending time outdoors to hike, bike, and explore nature.
