Trump Administration: On April 24, President Trump signed an Executive Order entitled, “Unleashing America’s Offshore Critical Minerals and Resources.” The Executive Order will expand domestic capabilities for exploration, characterization, collection, and processing of deep seabed minerals to position the U.S. as a global leader in critical minerals.

Senate: The Senate will reconvene Monday, April 28 and is expected to continue processing nominations including Ambassadors to China, United Kingdom, Turkey, and Italy.
House: The House will reconvene Monday, April 28 and will consider Congressional Review Acts H.J.Res.60 to rescind the National Park Service rule revising regulations for motor vehicles on and off roads at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, H.J.Res.78 to rescind the Fish and Wildlife Service rule to provide endangered species status to the longfin smelt in the San Francisco Bay-Delta, and H.J.Res.87, H.J.Res.88, and H.J.Res.89 to rescind Environmental Protection Agency rules granting the California Air Resources Board’s request for waivers of Clean Air Act preemptions for low-emission motor vehicles.
