Bert Carp became a Principal of Williams & Jensen in 1997, and was elected Vice Chairman in 2007. His practice is general in nature, and includes telecommunications, intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, and trade.
Professional background: A Democrat, Mr. Carp has strong relationships on both sides of the political aisle.
Mr. Carp is a respected legislative and regulatory strategist, with experience as a senior White House and Senate aide, trade association executive, corporate office head, and private practitioner. He served for ten years as Vice President for Government Affairs of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., where he supervised the companys legislative and regulatory activities worldwide, and served on the companys executive committee. He served as Deputy Assistant for Domestic Affairs to President Jimmy Carter; and was Legislative Counsel to Senator Walter F. Mondale. |
