Federal Appropriations

Williams & Jensen's appropriations practice group has over forty years of experience, and proven, in-depth knowledge of appropriations law and politics. The firm represents well-known Fortune 500 companies, state and local governments, and non-profit organizations, providing them with strategic and creative assistance in obtaining Federal funding under any of the 13 appropriations bills. We also assist clients with utilizing the appropriations process to accomplish other legislative or policy goals.

Achieving client objectives through comprehensive appropriations services

The firm works closely with clients from the beginning of the appropriations process through release of Federal funds to them. At every stage, from developing the project to briefing Members of Congress to working with Administration officials, every effort is geared to results. In the process, the firm has developed strong relationships with key Members of Congress, Congressional staff and senior Administration budget officials. Our strategic and substantive services include:

  • Drafting legislation, statutory language, report language, and related lobbying materials
  • Organizing and managing both broad-based and narrow coalitions
  • Long and short-term strategic planning
