This Week in Congress
- House – The House approved the "Airport and Airway Extension Act of 2012" (H.R. 3800) and a resolution expressing the sense of the House that "the passage of a fiscal year 2013 budget is of national importance" (H. Res. 516). The House also passed several noncontroversial bills under suspension of the rules.
- Senate – The Senate did not agree to a procedural vote regarding the resolution of disapproval of the President's exercise of authority to increase the debt limit (H. Res. 98).
Next Week in Congress
- The House will consider the "Fiscal Responsibility and Retirement Security Act of 2011" (H.R. 1173) and two bills aimed at reforming the federal budget process, the "Pro-Growth Budgeting Act of 2011" (H.R. 3582) and the "Baseline Reform Act of 2011" (H.R. 3578).
- Senate – The Senate will begin consideration of the "Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act" (S. 2038).
