Matthew Hoekstra joined Williams & Jensen in 2007. Mr. Hoekstra has advised clients on legislative and regulatory matters in the energy, defense, health care, education, trade, and transportation sectors. He has helped companies understand and navigate the appropriations and federal procurement process, and has worked to develop innovative marketing strategies for organizations seeking funding through special spending vehicles and authorization bills.
Professional background: Mr. Hoekstra worked on the media operations team at the Republican National Convention, serving as a liaison to national and international media outlets. He is also a veteran of several federal campaigns in Ohio. In addition, he has worked at the local level for a number of other Congressional candidates.
Mr. Hoekstra holds a degree in Political Science from Duke University, with a focus in American Government. He also completed work in the field of Latin American Studies.
